Happy days of Congress are over. The long history of corruption and dynasty in Congress has started to pay it back adversely. Leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi has proved to be incapable of winning elections. Sonia Gandhi’s dream of coronation of Prince Rahul Gandhi has shattered as he proved to be nothing more than a laughing stock. The rift between Congress and Progressive Democratic Front (PDF), who together formed the alliance that is ruling Uttarakhand, has threatened to take an ugly turn with PDF chief Mantri Prasad Naithani asking state in-charge Ambika Soni to remove state Congress chief Kishore Upadhyay from his post. After losing its government in Arunachal Pradesh, Congress may lose its government here also as it seems that Uttarakhand government is in crisis.

Kishore Upadhyay refused to budge from his stand of ‘asking the PDF to make its picture clear for the 2017 assembly election’, as a result of which the crisis continued to brew in Uttarakhand. Undeterred by the fact that Prasad Naithani had approached Ambika Soni, Upadhyay, too, spoke to her on Friday saying that his questions to the PDF were ‘justified and important for the party’s poll preparation’.
