Our great India is a vast South Asian country with diverse terrain – from Himalayas to Indian Ocean coastline – and 5 millennia old history. Stories of India and Indian politics are also quite interesting.

There are various religions, numerous languages and cultural diversity. India and Indian politics are guided by these three main diversities (i.e.- Religion, Language and Culture) that will be discussed later in this article. Various philosophies and approaches took birth and grew up in the lap of India. The most interesting fact about India is that perhaps nature had pre-decided to make it a land of diversity. There are almost six seasons and it has some of the world’s most biodiverse regions.

The boundaries of this great country encompass a vast range of Eco zones—deserts, high mountains, highlands, tropical and temperate forests, swamplands, plains, grasslands, areas surrounding rivers, as well as island archipelago. It hosts three biodiversity hotspots that are the Western Ghats, the Himalayas and the Indo-Burma region. These hotspots have countless endemic species.

India is the second most populous nation with a population of almost 1.5 billion. In recent years, India has been acclaimed as a major player in the world economy and Information technology superpower.

Now, we shall talk a little about “Indian Economy”. As per a report available on net, Indian economy has been growing at around 5 or 6% per annum since 2003, and there are good reasons to suppose that similar rates of growth of GDP per capita might be sustainable over the next 20 years. Savings rates are quite high in this nation. Indeed, at just over 30% of GDP, gross domestic savings are approaching East Asian levels. According to scholars there is a great scope for Indian economy in near future.

The Government of India uses a particularly cruel measure of absolute poverty, one that is more basic even than the $1 a day’ definition used by the leading multilateral institutions.

“Yet some 250 million people in India are finding it hard to keep body and soul together—fewer than 100 million people less, in total numbers, from the figure of 350 million in 1980. As many as 750 million people survive on less than two dollars a day.” -According to the same report

Even after 69 years of freedom, most of Indian population is still fighting to survive. Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Assam, and Jharkhand are top 5 poorest states in terms of NSDP per capita. These five states have net state domestic product per capita below Rs. 50,000. Per capita income of Goa is 3.01 times more than India’s average and 7.18 times more than poorest state Bihar. India is among top 10 countries with highest reported crime rates.

Though, it is also a fact that we are about to win Moon and Mars, but discrimination in the name of caste, religion and sex is till prevalent in our nation. We have some states where the entire politics is based on caste, religion, hatred, crime and communal riots. We have two great examples of such states- UP and Bihar. On the one hand Bihar CM Nitish Kumar claims that there is law which rules land of Bihar and on the other we see some engineer or leader being murdered. Same is the situation with Uttar Pradesh. We come to know only about 1% of total crime committed. If government and police of these states start reporting the crime, there will be a great boom in crime rate. Borders of north-east states are open to welcome unwanted migrants who also help to increase crime.

The condition of well-literate persons and scholars, without profound knowledge and understanding of their own history and culture is not hidden from anyone and such literate people contribute to anarchy, chaos and confusion. We have seen several examples within last few years. Such scholars, writers, historians and students work for their own benefit and not in the interest of country.

Within last 69 years, India got nothing but every effort was made to divide it and loot it by a particular party (Congress) and family (Nehru-Gandhi). This act worked as an inspiration for parties like SP, BSP, RJD and JDU. The leaders of these parties want to make their sons or daughters their heir to the seat after them. Akhilesh Yadav is prince of SP and only he is eligible to be CM of UP from Samajvadi Party after Mulayam Singh Yadav. Lalu Yadav wants his son to become chief minister. While Bahujan Samaj Party is working to divide UP in the name of caste. All such leaders work hard to keep their states divided in the name of religion for their political benefits.

Earlier BJP was also on the same track for some time. But very soon, its illusion broke and it started working on the agenda of development which is a good sign for India. After Lal Bahadur Shastri, Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the first nationalist prime minister who was truly nationalist and committed to serve India. Though, Rajiv Gandhi had tried to revive the hope but allegations on him soon forced Indians to lose their hopes. After Atal Bihari Vajpayee, When Manmohan Singh came to Power, people businessmen and youth hoped that he will bring some remarkeble changes in Indian economy. Despite of the benefit of the pace brought in economy by Atal Bihar Vajpayee government, Manmohan Singh could bring no extraordinary change in Indian economy to win the hearts of people and Indian and Internation business leader. People started considering him one of the most unsuccessful prime ministers of India. However, People trusted Narendra Modi and elected him their PM with majority. Though there were some ups and downs but Modi did not lose heart and was successful in winning the heart of almost every Indian.

Kejriwal had started his war for the welfare of citizens but then he changed his path for his personal and political benefits. He shook hands with Congress, RJD and JDU which shows his ambition to be national politician rather than bringing a revolution. On the Contrary, India witnessed Modi and BJP working hard for growth and development of India. Within last two years, we have seen great diplomatic changes. We saw US curious to embrace and support India. We saw Japan happy to be India’s ally. Recently India has been successful in gaining entry in Missile Technology Control Regime” (MTCR). India has been also successful in securing huge investment from worldwide that will help to change the future of India.

While parties like CPI and CPM completely support terrorists and anarchy in India, there are still leaders who really believe in united nation. Indian politics is really interesting, diversified and chaos. On the one hand politicians say that they are committed for the development and growth of country while on the other side, they either delay or create problems in passing any bill of public interest. These politicians are indulged in corruption and crime. They deviate from the debate on topic of national interest towards worthless issues like certificate or false charges on other political leaders and thereafter, when court rebukes them, they call it a conspiracy.

You must be thinking why did I discuss all that? I wanted you to know the real situation of India, Indian politics and condition of its states and citizens after 69 years of Independence. While all the parties should have only one agenda- development of India, they have agendas of their personal interest and this has been the tragedy of Indian poltics for last 69 years.
